Thank you dad, 23 is still not old enough...

Casey,
A man called from Hotel Las Vegas in Panama City saying that the fax of the front of your visa card in not clear and he needs a fax of the front and the back of the card. He left his name and his phone number. I could not understand him very well. I would be careful about sharing my account number with anyone. If you have a Visa credit card that is better than using your debit card. Debit cards do not have the same protection as credit cards. If someone charges your credit card you have some protections. It some one accesses you bank account with your debit card you have no protection. Whatever is in your account can be removed and your recourse is slim. I would use your amex card to hold your reservation. If you pay with your debit card please make sure you blot out part of the number on the merchants copy
when you sign it. I would find another hotel that takes amex before I would give my debit card # out.

Love and Kisses, call tonight or e-mail a time and number and I will call you back to discuss this if needed.

Dad

Since, I obviously am need of major life advice, I kindly responsed...

Dad,

Thanks for the advice. I am sure this hotel takes AMEX, but I wanted to them to take my debit instead, because that is what I will be paying with. Thank you for the concern though. The picture will not get any clearer than what I faxed since my debit has a forest scene on it. I don´t have any cc except the amex, because when I tried to apply for one, you told me not to since I don´t have a job....

So. Dad, I always black out my receipts and then shred them into little pieces, but thanks again for reminding me to watch my accounts. The man probably spoke limited, accented english, plus the long distance didn´t help either, but I will keep your words of wisdom close to my heart as I make future reservations, as you are obviously more experienced and wise than I. Thank you for bestowing such great advice, honorable father. =)

Love,

Casey

Re: I know I can be dense sometimes...

I was named for my great Aunt, Rosella Catherine, and yes my dad wanted to name me Rosella, thank god my mom spared me...anyhow, she went by Cay...Auntie Cay, etc. So my nickname is from that.
